Painting With Acrylic: Beginning lesson on color

In last night's class,  we learned about primary, secondary and tertiary colors. We talked about warm colors appearing "aggressive" and cool colors appearing to "recede". We worked through and observed these concepts in an exercise by painting layers in the style of the great Color Field Painter of the Twentieth Century, Mark Rothko.
